Brussels

Last week I spent a few days in Brussels, capital of European comics. Legends like Herge, Franquin were born in Brussels and many others like Peyo, Jacobs, Hubinon, Will, Morris are from Belgium.

Dino Attanasio made this drawing in 1963. He made such a great comics like Johnny Goodbye and Spaghetti.

Edgar Jacobs, for 30 years the assistant of Herge. Well known as the creator of Blake and Mortimer, started as a comic artist at the age of 40 (after a career as an opera singer). Picture of his studio.
